K-pop has made a big impact on Malaysians, with its catchy songs and K-culture influencing everything from fashion to food. It’s safe to say Malaysians just can’t get enough of it!
In a recent hilarious video posted by user @wawanfoodie, his 50-year-old mother is seen bopping and vibing to the popular K-pop song “Sheesh” by Baby Monster.
The powerful influence of catchy K-pop songs
In the video, Rosnah can be heard repeatedly singing the word “sheesh” throughout the clip, as it’s the only part of the song she had memorised.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Wawan mentioned that he always takes videos of his mother whenever he plays K-pop songs in the car, as she can’t help but sing along.
He also noted that both he and his mother currently live in Desaru, Johor.
Sheesh!
Wawan shared that they were on their way to get dinner after a long day of attending Raya open houses when the video was taken.
He mentioned that Rosnah isn’t really into K-pop, but since he plays K-pop songs all the time, she’s picked them up just from hearing them so often.
“My mom isn’t into K-pop, but since my die-hard K-pop fan son keeps playing the same songs on repeat, she’s ended up memorizing the lyrics.”
The video, currently going viral, has garnered 3.1 million views and 320.1K likes at the time of writing!
We weren’t the only ones entertained by the clip as netizens quickly flooded the comments with their thoughts!
