A 41-year-old woman was found lying in a pool of blood at a house in Sabah, believed to have been murdered by her older brother.
According to Harian Metro, the victim, a teacher, was discovered dead behind her family’s home in Kampung Tenghilan on July 5 (Saturday).

The suspect has a history of mental illness
Tuaran District Police Chief, Superintendent Noraidin Ag Maidin, said the 47-year-old suspect, who is believed to have a history of mental illness, was arrested on the same day.
He said the victim sustained multiple injuries, including both eyes, believed to have been inflicted with a sharp weapon.
“The victim had injuries to her neck, head, and both eyes caused by a sharp weapon. She was confirmed dead at the scene,” he said.

The motive remains unknown
Noraidin revealed that the suspect is believed to have mental health issues and had previously received treatment at a healthcare facility.
“The motive is still under investigation, and a post-mortem is being carried out today at the Queen Elizabeth I Hospital Forensic Unit. The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder,” he added.
He also urged the public not to speculate or spread unverified information that could interfere with the investigation, and to contact the police at 088-794313 if they have any relevant information.
