He was mistaken for a wild boar

Sri Aman District Police Chief Superintendent Dennis Bunyam said the victim sustained severe head injuries after he was mistakenly shot, believed to have been misidentified as a wild boar.

He added that a team from the Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed the victim died at the scene, as reported by Harian Metro.
