They say that there is no other love such as a mother’s love for her child, but how beautiful is it when that love is reciprocated.

Recently, a TikTok video of a property agent, @syafirulizwan, went viral for his touching story of how 4 siblings took out a joint loan in 2019 to fulfil their mother’s dream of owning a house.

According to the 40-year-old, who is also the 4 siblings’ property agent, the family grew up in a rented house as their mother could not afford to buy a house on top of having to raise 12 children.

So, she had to give up on her dream of owning her own home.

Making their mother’s dream come true

However, that was the past. These days, some of the 12 siblings have since become adults and are working and married.

One day, the eldest of the siblings contacted Syafirul telling him that she would like to buy a house.

After doing some calculations, it turns out that a loan would not be possible because the house she was considering costs more than RM450,000.

Not one to give up so easily, she then decided to talk to 3 of her siblings about taking out a joint loan.

“We want to repay our mother and make her dream of owning her own house come true.”

Alas, the loan application was quickly approved as the siblings’ profile that used 4 names was strong, said Syafirul, who has been working as a property agent for 5 years.

“After they had decided on the house they would buy, I submitted the loan application. It was approved quickly because there were 4 applicants, and each provided complete and detailed information,” Syafirul said.

“Thank you for teaching my siblings and me about housing,” said one of the siblings to Syafirul via text.

Signing the agreement

“I was close to tears. The bank officer and I could understand the situation and their feelings at the moment, so we let them settle down before proceeding,” Syafirul reflected on how the siblings and their parents cried tears of joy before signing the bank loan offer.

He also added that they wanted to put their mother’s name in the land title but were rejected by her. In the end, the four siblings’ names are on the housing grant.
