The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are currently in search of a man who apparently caused a three-year-old boy to test positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine.
According to BERNAMA, the Nilai District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Fazley Ab Rahman shared that doctors at the Tunku Azizah Kuala Lumpur Hospital received a report regarding a urine test conducted on the child.
Investigations found that the child was under the care of his stepfather in Nilai on 14 April.
“The next day, the mother of the child took him to the hospital for treatment because she noticed that he was behaving strangely.”
“The treatment done at the hospital found that the child tested positive for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine,” he said.
They are currently in search of the boy’s stepfather, 38-year-old Mohd Faresh Khalid, a tailor whose last known addresses are:
- C-13-7, Apartment Mawar Sari Setiawangsa, Kuala Lumpur.
- PT 8413, Jalan 5/4B, Taman Desa Jasmin, Nilai.
This case is being investigated under Section 31(1)(A) of the Children Act 2001, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years imprisonment or a fine of RM50,000 or both if convicted, and also Section 14 (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a maximum sentence of three years imprisonment or a fine of RM10,000 or both if convicted.
