Her body was found on the 4th floor

The incident occurred around 12 PM on July 28 at a shopping mall in Harbour City, Sandakan, Sabah.

Sandakan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner George Abd Rakman, stated that upon receiving the report, police rushed to the scene and found the woman lying face down on an external wall platform on the mall’s 4th floor.

Firefighters had to climb onto the elevated platform, place the body on a stretcher, and carefully lower it to the ground using a rope.

There were no signs of foul play

According to George, the victim sustained severe injuries to her head and legs, which resulted in her immediate death.

“However, police found no signs of foul play and are currently classifying the case as a sudden death. Initial findings suggest that the woman may have taken her own life due to family-related stress,” he said.

The body has been sent to the hospital for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
