A video shared by MALAYSIAVIRALLL has been going viral, showing a group of robbers trying to escape after a failed house break-in.

Harian Metro reported that 3 of the suspects were foreigners who attempted to rob a house in Desa Vista, Sepang, on March 14 at around 3AM.

The robbers fled when the alarm went off

In the video, the break-in attempt failed when the house alarm went off, causing the robbers to panic and try to run.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Deputy Director (Intelligence/Operations) Datuk Fadil Marsus said the homeowner contacted the police after hearing the house alarm go off.

After the report, CID officers tracked down the suspects and found 3 of them hiding in a forested area near a water tank.

The 3 suspects were shot dead

Fadil further explained that the 3 suspects, aged 35 to 40, were shot dead by police after attacking officers with machetes.

Investigations found they were behind house break-ins and robberies across Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, and Negeri Sembilan, causing losses of around RM1 million.

“They were violent too, injuring victims. In a recent case in Sungai Buloh, they slashed a man,” he added.

2 suspects are still at large

Authorities discovered that the criminal group had pulled off 17 house break-ins and robberies since early 2024, including 3 during Ramadan.

Fadil also added that the bodies of the 3 suspects have been sent to Hospital Serdang for post-mortem examinations.

“These suspects would leave the country after committing crimes and later return to continue their activities. Police are now tracking down 2 remaining members of the gang,” he added.
