2yo Girl Dies After Concrete Gate Pillar Collapses & Crushes Her at Seremban Home

A two-year-old girl recently died after being crushed by a collapsed concrete gate pillar at her family’s rented home in Taman Bukti Kristal in Seremban on Friday (3 October).

The victim was pronounced dead at 9:14 PM while in the emergency zone of Tuanku Jaafar Hospital (HTJ).

Seremban District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohamad Hatta Che Din, said the police received information about the incident at 7:15 PM.

“The victim was reportedly playing with her sister when the unstable gate pillar fell and crushed her.”

“Her mother immediately rushed her to HTJ, but she was confirmed dead at 9:14 PM,” he said in a statement on Saturday.

Meanwhile, a post-mortem conducted at Rembau Hospital revealed the cause of death was head trauma due to impact from a heavy object, with no other injuries detected.

He also advised the public to ensure that structural installations at residential properties are safely constructed to prevent similar incidents.

“The case has been classified as sudden death,” he added.
