A shocking video has been circulating on social media recently, showing a small boy playing on a tricycle and suddenly entering the middle of the road, almost getting run over by at least 2 vehicles.
The 34-second dashcam footage was believed to have been recorded from inside a lorry and was shared online by many social media pages, including this post by X user @nanmanjoi8715.
At the start of the video, the vehicle can be seen driving on a road near Kg Semarang in Dengkil Selangor, with a black car in front of it.
A few seconds in, the black car suddenly swerved to the right as if avoiding something.
The video was then zoomed in to show a small boy playing on his tricycle suddenly entering the road.
Thankfully, the vehicle from which the dashcam footage was recorded also managed to slow down and avoid hitting the boy.

Following the video going viral, Sepang District Police Chief ACP Wan Kamarul Azran bin Wan Yusof released a statement saying that his side had received a police report regarding the incident and acted on the information given.
Yesterday evening at around 7pm, a police squad from the Sepang District Police was sent to the scene and managed to trace the boy’s family to assist in the investigation.
The child was revealed to be a 2-year-old boy, the youngest child of 4 siblings and is living with his parents.
An investigation paper has been opened under Section 31 of the Child Act 2001 for ill-treatment, neglect, abandonment or exposure of children to physical or emotional harm.
