Yesterday, it was reported that a 25-year-old tourist had sustained head injuries after falling from the 7th floor of a shopping mall in Persiaran Gurney, Penang.
It has since been revealed that the American tourist is now in stable condition.
According to a report by Harian Metro, the Timur Laut District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abdul Rozak Muhammad, shared that the victim, who arrived in Penang for a holiday with his family on Saturday (February 1), has been transferred out of the emergency ward.
“Based on information from family members, he was having problems with his girlfriend, and they are scheduled to return home on Wednesday (February 12),”
“At this time, the police have not recorded the individual’s statement as he is still being treated,” he said.
