Sabah’s Local Government and Housing Minister, Masidi Manjun envisioned that there will be an upsurge in cases as results from the Telipok and Kampung Numbang screening will come in soon.
The official spokesperson for the Sabah state government’s Covid-19 updates said that a total of 21,000 people were screened as the area came under EMCO, and the state government is still in the process of screening in the area.
“Kota Kinabalu has registered the highest number of Covid-19 cases today with 109 cases from the overall 346 cases reported in Sabah.”
“As many as 36.71% or 127 new cases from Kota Kinabalu, Lahad Datu, Sandakan and Kudat are a result of screening done.”
The Telipok Settlement and Kampung Numbak have been placed under EMCO until 29th November 2020.
Among the recommendations made under EMCO witnessed shops opening from 6am to 6pm and markets to operate twice a week from 6am to 2pm.
