A restaurant at SS15, Subang Jaya recently became the victim of dine and dash after 2 individuals pretended to be friends with the owner and left without paying the bill.

Taking to its official Facebook page, the restaurant, Seven Kingdoms, shared screenshots from CCTV footage of the incident, with the owner directly calling out the dine and dashers in the caption.

In the photos, 2 men can be seen walking past the counter and talking to the staff manning the cash register before leaving without paying the bill.

In 1 of the photos, the cashier can be seen pointing to the QR code payment method of the restaurant, though the freeloading patrons didn’t make any attempt to pay.

In the caption, the owner said that the incident took place on Tuesday (16 July) between 11.30am and 12.40pm.

It added that the 2 individuals seen in the photo ordered a beer bucket and curry mee but didn’t pay for them, because they claim to be ‘buddies’ with the owner.

The owner directly responded to this, asserting,

“Nice try, but the owner (me) doesn’t recall meeting you. If anyone recognises these freeloaders, please let us know.”

Seven Kingdoms further added that they do offer free food if someone is genuinely out of cash but stressed that cheating the business is just cheap.

Well, we hope that these dine-and-dashers will come to their senses and return to pay for the drinks and meals. If not, let’s hope that the authorities could identify and apprehend them for cheating the restaurant.

So, what do you guys think of the incident? Share your thoughts with us in the comments.
