Three days ago, we learnt about the horrifying case of four teenage girls who brutally abused and murdered a 20-month-old baby in Semporna, Sabah. They were asked to babysit the infant by the single mother, 23, while she was away to buy milk and food.

But, instead of taking care of the baby, they abused him, and because of the severe beating, he died. After police investigations, they have concluded that the motive behind this cruel crime is jealousy.

Astro Awani wrote that a 19-year-old girl was jealous of the baby’s mother because her boyfriend fell in love with the mother. So, the suspect gathered her friends and plotted to abuse the baby in the name of revenge.

Sabah’s Police Commissioner, Datuk Omar Mammah said,

“The incident occurred because one of the suspect’s boyfriend liked the victim’s mother.”

“Meanwhile, another suspect abused the victim because the baby’s mother always scolded them. So, both of them lashed out against the baby.”

As for now, the suspect will be remanded until tomorrow (Friday, 27th September 2019) and the case will be investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. We hope justice will be served!
