If you were a receiver of the AstraZeneca vaccine with the batch number ABX6083, then you may need to download the digital certificate again due to some technical errors.

The errors are related to vaccine manufacturer data on the MySejahtera digital Covid-19 vaccination certificate which has affected nearly 100,000 AstraZeneca recipients, as reported by The Edge Markets. Thus, not all AstraZeneca receivers are affected by the errors. The updated digital certificates can be downloaded again after 30 October.

During a media briefing, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin had stated that data overlapping between vaccine shipments that use the Global Trade International Number (GTIN) and those listed in the Vaccine Management System (VMS) is the major cause of these errors.

“Vaccine information between the digital vaccination certificate and lot release certificates by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency (NPRA) are mismatched.”

Khairy also added that a registered pharmaceutical product in Malaysia is given only one registration number based on the product brand and manufacturing site. Meanwhile, Code Blue has also reported that the Ministry of Health (MOH) is currently updating the information for the date involved and the process is expected to be completed by 30 October.

He confirmed that the updated data will be synchronised automatically to the users through the MySejahtera application.

Do remember to check your MySejahtera application if you were a receiver of the said vaccine!
