Ramly Burger is no doubt one of the local’s favourites of all time, with the juicy and flavorful patty melting in our mouths. Its cheap price and availability are among the reasons why the food deserved to be recognised worldwide, but would a foreigner think the same, or otherwise?
Just last month, UK vlogger and food & travel content creator, Eli visited Malaysia for a vacation, and as Malaysians, we have to say that it’s a waste if your itirenary doesn’t include trying local food. Fortunately, Eli tried a lot during his visit, and we’re proud to say that Eli had the luxury of trying one of the most legendary menus in Malaysia – THE Ramly burger.
Based on his YouTube video, Eli stayed at one of the hotels in KL town, and he was told there was a best burger spot just near his stay. Eli was shocked upon his arrival at the burger store as there were already a few customers in line, and they have been waiting for their orders for about 40 minutes.
One of the ladies, who is from Taiwan said that she had been waiting for one hour, and she spent her time browsing through the items in the pharmacy just behind the stall. This elevated the curiosity in Eli more.
“I want to know what makes this burger so special.”
So, is Eli a fan of Ramly Burger?
Eli got himself a double cheeseburger, which came with mayonnaise, barbeque sauce, pepper, and other condiments. It cost him RM10. He excitedly “unpacked” his burger and gave it the first bite.
“You gotta get in on this man, it’s so good,” Eli told the other customers.
Eli definitely had a lot to describe how good the burger was.
“The beef, so juicy. The sauces, sweet. The bread, nicely toasted. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. I love it, man.”
The vlogger obviously enjoyed his Ramly double cheeseburger as he gave the burger stall vendor a thumbs up and said “boss, good burger”.
The Taiwanese lady, who ordered a fish burger from the vendor rated her burger a 9 out of 10. The burger stall vendor has been running his business since 1990. You can watch the full video below.
It’s always flattering to see foreigners enjoy our local legendary dishes as much as we do. Fellow Malaysians, where’s your favourite spot for a good Ramly Burger?
