A popular Japanese restaurant chain is coming to Malaysia, and no, they don’t sell Japanese food!

Saizeriya, a popular restaurant chain from Japan that sells affordable Italian food, is making its way to our shores sometime in September, should things go according to plan.

In a document shared on their website, they detailed their plan to expand their business by establishing an overseas subsidiary in Malaysia.

“The Company expects that the establishment of a subsidiary will have an insignificant impact on the consolidated business results for the fiscal year ending August 2025.

“If it turns out that the establishment has a significant impact on the consolidated business results in the future, we will immediately make an announcement,” they explained.

What is Saizeriya?

Championing Italian cuisine, Saizeriya cherishes the perspective of ‘La Buona Tavola’, which means the ‘joyful dining table’ that one can encounter in Italy’s humble yet passionate food culture, while using authentic, imported Italian staple products such as olive oil and buffalo mozzarella.

“This restaurant aims to make delicious, healthy Italian home cooking convenient and enjoyable for people all over the world,” their website reads.

We can’t wait to see what Saizeriya has to offer Malaysia!
