A child was seen taking newborn kittens from a cage outside of a flat unit in Ampang, before allegedly taking the kittens downstairs and killing them!
As showcased by animal rights advocate, Shima Aris, the boy was caught on CCTV footage taking the newborn kittens from a cage before the kittens were later found dead.
Taking to her Instagram page, Shima shared, “Again?? Kids are killing cats!! The kittens were taken by a child from the 5th floor, block D (of the Seri Nilam flats building). The kittens are newborns and were taken from their mum. They were in a cage.”
“Their bodies were found on the 4th floor of the same block. How many more deaths have to occur before action is taken?”
In the CCTV footage, the boy could be seen taking 2 kittens from a cage at the entryway of the flat unit before walking away with them. The bodies of the kittens were later found dead and in a bloodied state.
There was also blood all over the staircase near the flat unit where the kittens were taken.
Child or criminal?
Shima has since urged the general public and the residents of the flat building to file reports with the Department of Veterinary Services (DVS) and the police in regards to the incident.
“I urge everyone to make an online DVS report and please lah, residents of Seri Nilam flats, go in groups and file police reports,”
“Child or not, they must be punished as murderers!! Along with their parents!!”
This comes after more and more reports have surfaced of children killing animals.
