Death threats don’t exactly led to positive outcomes, yet it appears to be something that happens in Malaysia often.
Yet another politician has received a death threat this year, this time it is Seputeh MP Teresa Kok. Prior to this, Housing and Local Government Minister Nga Kor Ming’s parents’ home in Ayer Tawar, Perak, had received warnings on his behalf.
Teresa Kok took to her Twitter page to share the details of the death threat she received, that was left for her in her mailbox along with 2 bullets.
She wrote, “Last night, when I got home and wanted to take letters from my mailbox, I found an envelope that contained something hard.”
“When I opened the envelope, I found that there were 2 bullets and a white paper with the note ‘C*ba*lu Cina?!! Lu Akan Mati!! Tunggu!! (You will die!! Just wait!!).”
In her post, she also showcased an image of the police taking her statement as she showed the officer her mailbox, which means that the police are investigating the matter.
She further shared on Facebook that she has surrendered the letter and the bullets to the Petaling police station.
“I really wonder and don’t understand why I have received bullets and a letter full of threats like this. I thank the police for their quick action after I made a report. I am sure the police can help me in this case,” she added.
