With his restaurant, Rembayung, set to open in January 2026, Malaysian celebrity chef and influencer Khairul Aming continues to discuss what potential customers could expect, including answering questions seemingly out of left field during his TikTok LIVE.
Just recently, he had to clarify that the restaurant would not include a nursing room facility. He asserted this in response to queries from social media users.

Netizens asked Khairul whether his new restaurant would have a nursing room
Khairul answered the question during the livestream session, assuring Malaysians that even without a nursing room, there would be an area for parents to change their babies’ diapers.
In his previous TikTok live, Khairul announced that his RM4 million restaurant in Kampung Baru, Kuala Lumpur, would be able to accommodate up to 250 people at a time. Currently, only reservations are accepted due to the lack of parking spots in the area.
He also mentioned that Rembayung is only a 5-minute walk from a train station.

“Do you think this is a mall, or a clinic?”
Despite the celebrity chef’s patience in entertaining the queries, other social media users were baffled by how some potential customers expect Khairul to provide everything in Rembayung, as if he were going to build a clinic or a shopping mall.

“Why do you need a nursing room? How long do you plan to sit there?”
“You demand a lot, but when you’re in Mamak or other Malay restaurants, I don’t see you making these many requests.”

“Are there nursing rooms in other restaurants? I’ve never seen one, unless in malls.”
“Did they think Rembayung is an R&R?”

“Do you think Rembayung is a shopping mall? This is a restaurant.”
“Demanding netizens, as if KA was going to open a shopping mall.”
Given the budget and scale of Rembayung, what do you expect to see in the restaurant, other than good food and service?
