In his press conference today (20 January), the Selangor MB has said:

“I realise that Malaysians are holding a deep anger against politicians. I don’t want to be in denial.”

“My team and I will pay all our attention to making sure that the welfare of the rakyat is looked after, especially the rakyat in Selangor during these trying times.”

He continued to say: “Even though we are burned by the disappointment and anger of the rakyat, I hope that everyone will be able to continue supporting us.”

The MB then recounts his experience of going to MAEPS Serdang for a visit where he saw the frontliners’ commitment first-hand.

“They are the heroes and heroines who scarifice their life for us.”

He added that executive weaknesses in making long-term plans against the pandemic along with uncertainty in SOPs are definitely not the frontliners’ fault.

“All of you have a right to be angry at politicians who constantly have tricks up their sleeves but don’t ever direct that anger to the frontliners.”

We do realise that the frontliners are the ones who are hard at work and sometimes, they might even not get adequate rest before they go in for another shift.
