Looks like KL-ites will have to find another park to frequent for the next year!
In case you haven’t heard, Taman Tasik Titiwangsa is reportedly fully closed to the public to make way for the River of Life (RoL) project along with other upgrading works, according to the New Straits Times.
“On May 14, certain areas around the lake were closed. But now that we are entering another phase of the construction works, (we have) been advised to fully close Taman Tasik Titiwangsa over safety concerns until the RoL project is fully completed,” Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said in a statement.
Tasik Titiwangsa KL kini ditutup selama 2 tahun ya rakyat semua. Untuk beriadah lepas ni bolehlah pergi ke tempat lain contohnya Taman Botani Perdana, Tasik Metropolitan Kepong atau Taman KLCC pic.twitter.com/v6XHHxLgF9

However, an alternative path outside the lake area has been set up for visitors who still want to jog at the park.
DBKL stated that upgrading works on the park will be completed in 2019, and better facilities will be in place for visitors.
In the meantime, if you’re looking for different parks around KL to visit, you can check out Perdana Botanical Garden (formerly Lake Gardens), KLCC Park, The Central Park in Desa Park City, or Kepong Metropolitan Park, just to name a few.
