Earlier today, the police froze 96 bank accounts linked to GISB Holdings Sdn Bhd, totalling over RM581,552.31. This action followed a raid on 20 welfare homes and the rescue of 402 children and teens who had been severely abused.
2 videos have recently surfaced showing children from alleged GISBH-linked welfare homes being mistreated, with the abuse suspected to have occurred at those facilities.
The King of Malaysia has ordered PDRM to conduct a thorough investigation
The case, which has since shocked the nation, prompted His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, to address the gravity of the situation and decreed for the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) to carry out a thorough investigation into the GISBH case.
In a statement on his Instagram page, His Majesty expressed his concern over multiple media reports on the issue and emphasised that he is taking the matter seriously.
“Matters of Islamic faith must always be protected”
His Majesty also emphasised that the faith of Muslims should always be protected and not taken lightly.
He also urged everyone to be careful and avoid making extreme statements or radical views about religious issues, as they’re very sensitive and need to be handled with respect to avoid causing conflicts and keeping things peaceful.
“I want a thorough investigation and immediate action to be taken,” decreed His Majesty to the Royal Press Office on September 17.
We hope that justice will soon be served for the children in the welfare homes. Stay tuned for more updates!
