Next year, Taylor Swift will perform six nights in Singapore as part of her The Eras Tour. Although her tour will last over a year and includes 131 concerts across five continents, she seems to have missed out on a few countries, much to the dismay of world leaders.
Canada’s grievance
Recently, according to Canada’s Toronto Star, Conservative MP Matt Jeneroux said he is filing an “official” grievance “on behalf of all Swifties” in the country after the singer-songwriter didn’t include any stops in Canada.
In a letter addressed to Speaker Anthony Rota, Jeneroux highlighted how Canadian fans will miss out on seeing her perform, and local communities will miss out on the economic opportunity her shows generate.
Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister has also taken to Twitter to invite pop star Taylor Swift to perform in Canada personally.
It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon.

Commenting on the schedule of Swift’s European tour, Trudeau wrote, “It’s me, hi. I know places in Canada would love to have you. So, don’t make it another cruel summer. We hope to see you soon,” which made several references to Swift’s songs.
An invitation from Thailand
Back in 2014, Swift canceled her sold-out concert in Bangkok after a military coup forced out the civilian government, and since then, she has yet to return to Thailand.
However, Pita Limjaroenrat, hoping to be the country’s next prime minister after his pro-democracy party emerged victorious in May’s elections, recently tweeted at Swift and urged her to visit.
Hey Taylor! Big fan of yours. Btw, Thailand is back on track to be fully democratic after you had to cancel last time due to the coup. The Thai people have spoken via the election and we all look forward to welcoming you to this beautiful nation of ours!
Do come and I’ll be… https://t.co/ypox90kRpL

“Hey Taylor! Big fan of yours. Btw, Thailand is back on track to be fully democratic after you had to cancel last time due to the coup,” he said, adding, “Do come, and I’ll be singing Lavender Haze with you!”
Within Southeast Asia, Swift is currently only set to play in Singapore.
A lifelong fan
Meanwhile, in South America, Chilean President Gabriel Boric once kept a picture of Swift in his pocket and said he wrote to her to ask that she include Chile in her Latin American tour.
“One day, she’ll listen to the Chilean Swifties, and I have no doubt she’ll come to Chile. Hopefully, sometime within the next three years,” Boric said.
Maybe PM Anwar should also get behind the trend and try to get Taylor Swift to come to Malaysia. What do you think of this? Let us know in the comments.
