Malaysians and Singaporeans alike take their Milo very seriously and believe it’s a cardinal sin if they find out their beloved chocolate malt drink has been tampered in any way!
Sadly, this Singaporean lady was a victim in the latest Milo-related tragedy to hit the region.
The lady named Joanna shared her unfortunate (and slightly disgusting) experience on Facebook last week.
In her post, Joanna explained that she gave her daughter a packet of Milo to drink from. After taking a few sips, her daughter said the drink tasted “sour and bitter”.
She then decided to give it a taste and it really did taste bad, so she decided to cut open the packet. What she found inside shocked her!
Based on what can be seen from the photo, it looks like the drink is either coagulated or infested with some strange fungus.
What’s worse is that the drink isn’t even past its expiry date either!
She then tagged Milo Singapore in hopes that they would provide an explanation for the horrid state of the drink.
Yesterday (30th May), Milo Singapore finally got back to Joanna.
After investigating the issue, they found there to be no manufacturing issues but instead claimed that it might have been unfavourable storage and transport conditions that caused this.
A manager from Milo Singapore will also be visiting her family, presumably to help resolve the issue.
However, netizens were definitely unhappy with the response she received.
Well, at least they apologised! But let this be a lesson to all Milo lovers to remain vigilant of where you buy your drinks from!
