We’re sure it’s every foodie’s nightmare to find a little ‘friend’ in their food while eating.

One Malaysian netizen had this unfortunate experience at a restaurant earlier today and took to Facebook to share it with other Malaysians thinking of visiting this particular establishment.

The netizen named Shanthini said she visited a restaurant in Puchong where she decided to have banana leaf for lunch.

To her horror, she discovered a fully-grown lizard hidden in her crab curry!

What made things even worse was that when Shanthini informed the staff about this, none of them bothered to apologise to her!

This made her wonder if the lizard was a regular ingredient in their crab curry, saying,

“Now we are wondering if their crab curry always tastes good because of this special ingredient!”

She hopes that by sharing her experience on social media, the relevant authorities will take action against the restaurant for their unsanitary conditions.

This appears to be the second incident where people have found unpleasant creatures in their food. Earlier this week, according to The Star, a worm was found in a patient’s hospital food in Ipoh!

Since the photo of the worm went viral on social media, hospital authorities have been investigating the allegations and will hopefully take immediate measures to prevent this from happening in the future.

Hopefully, this restaurant will also do the same to better manage the quality of their food!
