Apparently, the size of an engagement ring determines how much your partner loves you, nowadays.

A woman, who was recently engaged to her boyfriend of eight years, was furious that her fiancé proposed to her with an engagement ring that was apparently too small for her liking.

According to Daily Mail, the woman, believed to be from the UK, posted a photo of her ring on Twitter saying that she had been together with her partner for a very long time and had been talking about marriage for almost three years prior to the proposal.

She said that she was disappointed at her fiancé’s selection for an engagement ring, which he had apparently “saved up” for.

“We been together for eight years and talking about getting married for almost three,” she said.

“This is the ring he said he saved up to buy me. Am I being shady or materialistic if I tell this mf I don’t want this little a** ring?”

Based on the picture, the engagement ring features a thin gold band with a tiny diamond placed on top of it.

Her photo gained mixed reactions from netizens with some saying that the ring is “just embarrassing” and “the saddest ring” they’ve ever seen, while others said that it looked “very modern and sleek” and that they’d wear it “in a heartbeat”.

Two hours after she posted the photo, she tweeted again apologising and saying that she was being ungrateful. She said she found out that her ring looked like that because her fiancé was about to pick up the ring, but got robbed when he stopped on the way to get a sandwich.

“Damn. I’m sorry y’all I was being ungrateful. I’m gonna cut him some slack. Just found out my ring only look like this because as he was on his way to go pick it up, he got a lil’ hungry and stopped at Popeyes to get a chicken sandwich and n*g**as robbed him,” she wrote.

Well, what do YOU think of this woman’s ring? Is the diamond ring too small to be proposed with, or was the woman being materialistic and ungrateful when she first received it? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
