A woman was arrested for attacking police officers with a knife after failing to make a mobile payment at a restaurant in Hong Kong, reported Hong Kong media.
The incident occurred around 12:14 AM (local time) on 3 January along Lung Sum Avenue.
A video uploaded on the Xiaohongshu platform shows the woman standing inside the restaurant holding a knife in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other.

After the police opened the restaurant door, the suspect immediately ran toward them while brandishing the sharp weapons.
The suspect was eventually subdued and arrested by about 13 police officers at the scene.
“The suspect, identified as Liu, 32, arrived in Hong Kong from Vietnam yesterday. She tried to make a payment using the WeChat app but failed because her mobile phone ran out of battery.”
“The restaurant owner told the suspect to charge her phone inside the shop, but her emotions suddenly became uncontrollable,” said the police.

Facing charges of assaulting a police officer and possessing a weapon
She is currently faces charges of possessing an offensive weapon, assaulting a police officer and criminal damage.
She also remains in custody, with police investigations ongoing.
