Images of holidaymakers cramming a ferry terminal was shared on mainstream media today, indicating that rules containing the spread of Covid-19 is in serious doubt.

The image even prompted a response from the Kedah State Health Committee Chairman Datuk Mohd Hayati Othman stating that there is a need to strictly observe the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the government.

“Everyone is responsible for their own safety and that of their family.”

“They should follow the Health Ministry’s instructions or risk being fined for violating the SOP.”

Urging visitors to plan their visit and avoid large crowds, he warned that there might be another round of MCO if things do not dial down.

Come on, people! Let’s not rest our laurels just yet, shall we?
