Nevertheless, she tried her best and still has a place in our hearts!

After securing the 7th spot, national diver, Pandelela Rinong, proceeded to the 10m diving platform finals today (5 August) at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Pandelela’s initial dive was slightly underwhelming but as the fighter, she is, the diver came back stronger in each round. Unfortunately, the diver placed 12th position after all five dives.

The gold and silver medal went to China’s Quan Hongchan and Chen Yuxi respectively. The bronze medal went to Australia’s Melissa Wu.

Despite this, we hope Pandelela knows that she’s still the nation’s pride and joy! Malaysians have been exclaiming their support towards Pandelela online and wished her a safe return.

Pandelela, you’re still doing amazing sweetie!
