When are we going to stop putting the blame on the woman for how they dress and just blame perverted, twisted men?
If you’ve had a scroll through social media today, you probably would’ve heard about a group called V2K or “Vitamin4Testicles” that’s been sharing pictures and videos of girls without their consent. Not only that, but the group has also been exposed for sharing child pornographic videos. A victim of the group who wishes to remain anonymous shared her experiences with WORLD OF BUZZ.
She said she was informed by a friend’s boyfriend that pictures of her and her friends went viral on the group. The group was asked to take it down but instead, they made a bold choice of making it go viral so that they could gain more followers. Another friend of theirs managed to enter the group and provided screenshots of the disgusting conversation that transpired in the group.
The victim shared that the content in the group included :
- Child pornography (a subscription fee required)
- CCTV hacked footages (a subscription fee required)
- Unconsented sex videos.
- Unconsented nudes
- Pornography
- Beastiality videos.
- IG Profiles (so that the members can find nudes and other pictures and share in the group)
Why should we be ashamed?
After the victim made the group viral, members of the group made a picture of her friend as the group’s display picture and started finding more selfies of her. They even started to look for the victim’s address, other social media profiles and photos.
The members were warned to “catch” the culprits who were sending screenshots of the group. One of the members even asked other members to send pictures from the victim’s Instagram account.
“When they were not ashamed to dance with “inappropriate” clothes, why should we be ashamed to “enjoy” them in our Telegram group. Long live V2K!”
One of the members boasted that their group is getting a free promotion and that the group will always be theirs. If not this group, they can always form another group.
“They were not wrong in recording and sending those pictures, but we’re the bad guys for seeing those pictures?” he said. They even had a backup link just in case their group was banned. The group members also had a backup Instagram account as well.
The victim said that when she wanted to make a police report, they had a shocking revelation that a member of PDRM was allegedly also in the group.
When the victims reported the Instagram page, Instagram responded saying that the group apparently DIDN’T go against their community guidelines.
For now, the victims have lodged a complaint to Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and the group has been reported to Telegram as well.
A Twitter user shared with us more screenshots of the group and it was found that there were even students from various universities in there as well. One of the members alerted the others regarding their information and the universities being exposed.
Their justification was that “at least they’re not raping anyone” and that the girls should be “grateful”
What should you do if you find yourself in this situation?
Unfortunately, if you find pictures of yourself leaked on the Internet, the first thing you should do is to report the page or account. Next, what you have to do is lodge a complaint to MCMC by emailing them at aduan@cfm.org.my or their portal here. Additionally, lodge a police report.
If you come across the account on Instagram, please report it for Impersonation. We hope that MCMC will take stern actions against the owners of the group. To those who were affected by the group, you’re not in this alone, we’re not letting harassers walk away nilly-willy anymore in 2020!
