Nowadays, people continue their study long after receiving their degrees because education is so important.

While working and raising their four children, Drs. Suhairullah Omar Ramih and Fadzilah Patman completed their PhDs in just three years!

The duo graduated from University Malaysia Sabah with a Doctorate in Philosophy (Educational Management).

The pair discusses their difficulties completing their PhD in one of the university’s Facebook posts.

They began their PhD programmes in 2018 and were able to complete them by 2021. They have faced their fair share of difficulties throughout the years.

“We need to play our roles and divide our time between our children and our assignments,” says Suhairullah, a curriculum centre coach in Kiulu.

His wife, who is a student, “never neglected her job as a wife to take care of our children who are 11, 8, 3, and 2 months old,” he continued.

The graduate stated that his wife had given birth twice while they were in school.

Dr. Fadzilah is also glad they finished their studies and thanked their loved ones for support.

“I’m grateful as I finished my studies with support from my parents. my in-laws and my children who needed to accept and understand our situation as parents and students.”

She then promised to spend more time and fill them with love to make up for the three years the children have sacrificed for their education.

We would like to congratulate the couple for graduating! Achieving a PhD is no simple matter and it takes a lot for one to go through that journey.
