Is going shirtless permissible when you’re handling food for customers? The real question is, why would you?
A few men recently went viral for going shirtless while stacking the king of the fruits. According to an interview with Astro Gempak, one of the durian sellers said it was far from a gimmick. They went shirtless because of the scorching weather.
“We took off our shirts because it was hot. We put our shirts back on when we were selling them.”
He also said that he never expected the clip to go viral online to the extent that social media users speculated.
“It was out of our expectations. We have never supported negative content of any kind, and everything that happened was NOT intentional,” the man explained.
The man also took the opportunity to apologise to everyone offended by the shirtless moment and said they shared the content merely for fun.
Not long ago, these men in Kajang received criticism online for stacking durians shirtless, prompting social media users to question its necessity and hygiene.

The scorching weather in Malaysia is sometimes no joke. However, do you think it’s permissible for the food vendors to go shirtless at the sight of the customers?
