After more than a week, help is still coming in to aid the flood victims.
However, Rina Harun once again finds herself caught under fire after a video of her cleaning Sekolah Kebangsaan Salak, one of the temporary evacuation centres (PPS) for the flood victims in Sepang. According to Rina’s Facebook post, she was there to clean up the school for the upcoming session which is expected to commence next month.
In the video, Rina is seen cleaning the drain and the floor in an area of the PPS using a waterjet, but netizens have called her out for doing so because the drain is apparently clean.
1. "Rina" is trending on Twitter today, after a video of KPKWM minister Rina Harun cleaning up SK Salak went viral.
Netizens questioned why she was jet spraying an area that seemingly had no signs of mud.

Not only that, but multiple cameramen were also around to capture the scene, causing the netizens to question if Rina was only putting up an act.
“Life is just an act. We’re the heroes, we’re the actors, we’re the directors. God knows everything. Not to worry, every act comes with karma.”
“That’s a lousy reason. Where is the picture of her cleaning the toilet? Even the students are capable of cleaning the floor every day.”
It’s unfair to belittle her actions
The Social Welfare Department (JKM) had immediately released a statement yesterday (26 December) to clarify the situation following the incident that is circulating online.
According to the statement, JKM explained that the school, which was used as a PPS from 18-23 December as a shelter for the flood victims has to be cleaned prior to the resumption of the school session.
Rina, along with other volunteers for Keluarga Malaysia had cleaned the classrooms, swept the floor, wiped the windows, as well as kept the tents used by the victims for future use.
“YB Datuk Seri Rina did not hesitate to help us in cleaning the excrement of the birds and lizards, which were tough to clean,” JKM explained in the statement.
They also reiterated that the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development of Malaysia had not only done the cleaning jobs but also the logistic jobs of the school.
“It’s unfair for the netizens to quickly assume and belittle the efforts and the involvement of Datuk Seri Rina in this cleaning work.”
JKM ended the statement by urging the people to register as a volunteer for Keluarga Malaysia to help the flood victims and not to spread provocations that have no benefits.
Last week, Rina Harun was criticised for asking the people to ignore the DO NOT DONATE HERE campaign and for wearing high heels during her visit to one of the PPS.
