Wake boarding is a sport normally enjoyed by people who would frequent a big lake or the seaside.

The thrill of being towed by a fast powerboat, however, is taken to the next level when netizens who were apparently grounded due to flood, took the opportunity to have some fun of their own.

Shared by Facebook page Sukan Star Tv – sstv.my, the video of a girl towed by a motorcycle in her makeshift ‘boat’ serves as proof that not all is devastating when it comes to the monsoon season in Malaysia.

Just seeing at how much fun she’s having, we urge members of the public to take note of the risks involved first if you were to attempt this in your respective areas.

We would like to note that the body of water that usually comes during the monsoon season will almost certainly mask uneven road conditions, potholes or gutters that pose serious danger to would-be wake boarders.

The video, which has garnered more than 60k views, has witnessed a divide among netizens with some noting the dangers involved if others took inspiration from the video and attempt to wakeboard on their own, while others stating that there is no harm having a little fun.

We urge netizens to keep safe during the monsoon season and not be tempted to perform dangerous acts that may result in serious repercussions.
