A Malaysian man’s dream to travel to Mecca on foot has recently gone viral on social media as he is documenting his entire journey.
On Wednesday (April 26), Herry Nizam embarked on a journey to Mecca by foot by starting his expedition from Bidor, Perak. He is heading to the holy land to perform Umrah.
Herry is capturing every moment of his trip and is sharing it on his TikTok account at @herrynizam4 and his attempt has gone viral on the social media platform where he gained full support from the community.
With just a backpack, the Malaysian flag, some clothing and sports shoes, Herry is expected to arrive in 84 days and 10 hours, and expected to travel 10,161km.
Among the countries he will travel through are Thailand, Myanmar, India, Nepal, Pakistan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia.
Based on his latest TikTok video, Herry is now in Sadao, Thailand.
In a TikTok video, Herry said that although he is sad and worried to leave his parents and family behind at home, he doesn’t know why he suddenly got the calling to head to the holy land on foot.
“Maybe it was the plan given to me by Allah,” he shared.
He also thanked everyone for their prayers and well wishes. Meanwhile, in an update yesterday (April 28), Herry shared that he plans to head to Myanmar today.
