Taking place in Tawau, Sabah, a woman was nearly levelled after a vehicle almost crashed into her in a freak accident at a petrol station in the area.

With many calling it a lucky escape, a video of the incident has made its way on social media.

Viewer discretion is advised.

According to the Tawau Police Chief, Asst Comm Jasmin Hussin, the incident has caused extensive damage to the payment counter, but the 52-year-old victim only sustained cuts and scrapes to her legs.

“The driver, a 54-year-old woman, had just finished refuelling her car and was getting ready to leave.”

“After starting the engine, she stepped on the accelerator thinking it was the brake and the car moved forward, crashing into the victim.”
