For every five instances where we see animals being mistreated, we see one instance where Malaysians pour out their hearts to save animals in danger. The truth is, Malaysians are kind-hearted but due to some heartless people out there, innocent animals tend to suffer.

This incident that happened in Plaza 33, Petaling Jaya yesterday, 30 September, might bring back your faith in humanity. Twitter user, Mohd Redzuan posted a video of a motorist stopping in the middle of the road to save a kitten.

“Good cooperation. Kudos to the motorists and the car at the back that blocked all the other cars. The frightened kitten was rescued.”

In the video, you can see the frightened little kitten trying to cross the busy road despite the cars and motorcycles that were on the road. Suddenly, two motorists stopped missing the kitten by inches and got down from their motorcycles.

Immediately, the cars behind stopped as well who seemingly understood the situation. One of the motorists was trying to lift the kitten to bring it to safety but the kitten was struggling probably due to fright.

Finally, after some moment, they managed to rescue the kitten and bring it to safety.

It’s moments like these that put a smile on our faces knowing that there are genuinely good Samaritans out there!
