How do you deal with a youth who doesn’t learn his lesson and continues to find joy in street racing? A Malaysian father from Selangor found a way to deal with his son who often goes out late at night to race on his bike – he set the motorcycle on fire.

In a viral TikTok post by @kajolmarey01, the man showed a motorcycle on the ground that was set on fire, saying this is the consequence for his disobedient son who has been going out late at night ever since he got the motorcycle.

“When you had this motorcycle, you became wild! It’s better that I set this motorcycle on fire before you die on the street!” the man said while pointing at the burning motorcycle.

The stern reminder, however, does not only go to his son but also the youth out there.

“This goes out to all the kids out there who refused to listen to their parents, and always go out at late night!”

“This is my way and as a father, I’m afraid of 2 things”

In another post today (September 19), the man reflected on his “fiery” reaction in handling his son, saying that while it may look harsh, it was his way of educating his son.

The man also revealed that he was more than willing to see his son lose his ride, than face 2 things that he fears the most as a father.

“My biggest fear is receiving a call from the police to tell me my son is at the station for Rempit offenses, or to inform me about my son’s death.”

He then reminded the youth to always keep in mind how hard their parents are earning a living just to ensure their survival.

“I don’t care what people say about me. This is my way of educating my son.”

Dear parents, how would you handle your disobedient children when the gentle ways have been proven unfruitful?
