The Asian games have begun and boy did it have the opening it deserved! In honour of Indonesia hosting the 2018 Asian Games, the president of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, better known as Jokowi, had a starring role!
The video begins with the president leaving a government building, and heading towards the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium. But because he gets stuck in traffic, he has to take a motorbike.

And instead of riding pillion, the president takes charge and rides the motorbike by himself!
But it seems that the only way to beat traffic, is via a ramp.

And it gets better folks, because look:

The man is literally airborne. Well sure it’s a stunt double, but it looks impressive nonetheless! Plus, which President would think to look this badass?!
Then he goes on navigating the streets of Jakarta in Jokowi style, which looks a little something like this:

As cheesy as it looks, you have to give the man an A+ for effort and showmanship here. Who else could pull off a ramp, and a stunt in the streets of Jakarta, on the way to the Asian Games, if not the president of Indonesia?

But of course he has time to direct traffic for some school kids in between! Now that’s what you call a president amirite?
And in spite of all of this, he makes it to the ceremony in time, which then cuts to the president riding into the stadium.

And then making an actual appearance to the crowds in the stadium. Hollywood ain’t got nothing on this!

This is reminiscent of the video made during the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics which featured Daniel Craig in his starring role as James Bond, and the Queen of England herself!
