Two men including a woman were arrested by the police while another man is still being hunted following a fight that occurred at a restaurant at Jalan SS15/4 on Monday, 1 March.
According to Sinar Harian, Subang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Abd. Khalid Othman said his party received a report regarding the incident from a local woman who is a restaurant manager in her 50s.
“The complainant informed while working at about 6pm, there were three women and a man who were not satisfied with the food served and took out a mobile phone with the intention of making a recording,” he said.
“The complainant had warned not to make a recording but was ignored and the suspect also threatened to spread the matter before slapping the complainant’s left cheek which resulted in a brawl between restaurant workers and the suspect before all the suspects left,” he explained.
According to Abd. Khalid, his party also received a police report from a woman who was a customer at the restaurant involved and the customer informed that the incident broke out after they found a fly in the nasi lemak served.
“Following the report received, the police have arrested two Indian men aged between 25 – 35 years old, who are employees of the restaurant involved and a local woman in her 50s to assist in the investigation,” Abd. Khalid said.
“Further investigation into the incident is being done and the police are now hunting for a man who slapped the restaurant manager. The case is being investigated under Section 148 of the Penal Code for unarmed disturbance,” he added.
