While people are not allowed to smoke within restaurant premises, home chefs and cooks may not adhere to these rules while preparing food in their homes to sell to the general public.
A customer of a pastry stall in Kuala Lumpur had the shock of his life when he bit into a curry puff only to discover a cigarette butt within.
The 《中國報》大城事 Facebook page recently showcased the customer’s video, which shows him confronting the stall owner and receiving RM3 as a refund.
《中國報》大城事 wrote, “There was a cigarette butt in the curry puff.”
In the video, the customer could be heard confronting the pastry stall owner in Cantonese before he was handed RM3 as a refund.
The customer then zoomed into the curry puff in question, with the cigarette butt clearly seen next to it.
The video then shifts to when the customer discovered the cigarette butt, which almost blended into the curry puff due to its colour being similar to the pastry. Yet, its burnt end could be seen clearly.
