Taking to Twitter, this netizen shared her story of how her name was not found on SK Setiawangsa’s voting registration sheet.
In her status update which writes: “(SPR said) …this is a first time for us. I am still standing at the Pondok SPR, SK Setiawangsa.”
“This is my update from SK Setiawangsa. The SPR officers said that there is no information on where my pusat mengundi is.”
“What they said was, we are unable to locate your DUN status. They checked on the manual list, and I could point out all of my friends’ names but not mine.”
“They tried accessing the MySPR online portal, but it is currently down.”
“They asked me if I have registered. I told them that I have voted twice and did is not a first for me.”
“We’re not trying to stop you from voting, but your name is not in the system.”
In the end of her sharing session, the voter said: “I understand your duty as SPR officers, but what I need right now is a solution. This is unacceptable.”
Netizens commenting on the tweet were shocked to find out that information on DUNs were a requirement for KL voters.
“Setiawangsa does not have a DUN. I thought in the Federal Territories we only have parliament.”
Let’s hope that SPR will get to the bottom of this.
