As a Malaysian-born student who is also working as a model and residing in the United Kingdom, Sabrina Bahsoon recently went viral for posting confident TikTok videos of herself dancing in The London Underground, a rapid transit station serving Greater London.
Dubbed ‘Tube Girl’, Sabrina’s soar in popularity brought her to the worldwide stage, making her an absolute sensation through her account @sabrinabahsoon.
However, Sabrina has been making waves online once again after she posted a TikTok video recording her iconic dances right here in Malaysia. In a clip shared to her page, Sabrina revealed that she went to one of Malaysia’s MRT stations to capture one of her TikTok clips, calling it her first MRT Tube video.
“The level of confidence you need to have to do this in Malaysia is different, the aunties are going to judge me! I’ve never been this nervous for any tube video before,” said Sabrina in the TikTok clip.
Bringing her parents tot the station, Sabrina also brought a leaf blower to help her recreate the wind effect in other videos. Comparing the differences between filming in Malaysia and London, Sabrina was candid about the fact that Malaysians are more likely to stare at someone doing something unusual, but also encouraged people to not care about what others think and live their lives authentically.
Upon stepping into the MRT station, Sabrina also expressed how pretty the station looked.
Without missing a beat, she then proceeded to film her video on the MRT. One Malaysian who happened to be on the train managed to catch her in action, recording the moment on her phone.
Praising Sabrina for her confidence, many Malaysians were in awe of Tube Girl going to such lengths to create a successful video, even bringing a leaf blower along to ensure she recorded the perfect clip.
Others even commended Sabrina’s parents for supporting their daughter, helping her by bringing along the leaf blower and to give her positive reinforcement as she filmed.
Nevertheless, the vast majority of users also applauded Sabrina’s boldness to recreate her iconic TikTok videos right here in Malaysia.
