Villagers in Perak were out to look for a missing cow, but their search led to a shocking and unexpected discovery.
They found a decomposing body hanging from a tree instead.
In an official statement, Mohd Hasni Bin Mohd Nasir, the Police Chief of Muallim district in Perak, said the body was hanging from a tree that was only 10 metres away from the main road.
Hasni said the police received a report about the matter yesterday (June 15) at around 5,13pm, and police were deployed to the palm oil plantation in Felda Gunung Besout 2 in Sungkai, Perak.

The police found no documents on the deceased but managed to find a bra and a blue slipper inside the ditch. Police also found a “thali” necklace around the deceased’s neck, which is traditionally worn by married Hindu women.
The body was sent to Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun, Ipoh, for autopsy. At the time of writing (June 16), the matter is classified as sudden death (SDR) until the autopsy report is completed.
In the meantime, police also urged those who have missing family members, friends, and relatives to come forward and aid in the investigation.
