How could this happen to her? It’ wasn’t even her fault!
A Facebook post by Cyberjaya Community has been circulating on the social media platform as it shows a CCTV footage of a woman being hit and dragged along the road by a car at Shaftsbury Square, Cyberjaya last night (17 Oct).
The incident happened at 7.35pm when Wan Amirah Wan Alias, 31, was shockingly rammed by a white Hyundai car with the registration number BHS 7999.
In the video, you can see her crossing the road swiftly, trying to avoid the car that hit several parked cars before it directly rams into her.
Based on an account on Twitter, the driver was allegedly a Pakistani, driving a rental car. It was believed that the victim was dragged for a few metres and was at some point, under the car. An update then stated that the victim has received treatment for her injuries.
However, she has sadly passed away around 5am this morning (18 Oct). The info was received directly from one of her family members. Wan Amirah’s aunt, Thana Abdullah has since urged Malaysian netizens as well as the police, to help her family find the culprit, The Star reported.
The case is now classified under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless or dangerous driving.

To the family of the victim, we offer you our deepest condolences and may our prayers ease the pain of this loss. Meanwhile, we hope the cops will be able to nab the culprit soon so justice can be served.
