A video that was recently posted by the UTP Performing Arts Group (UPAG) (@upag_utp) showing of a group of Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) students performing the Zapin dance in South Korea in 2018, has gained the attention of many netizens.

The video received numerous compliments as well as comments of how proud they are as Malaysians to be able to show the world bits of our culture.
One user expressed, “So proud my culture has arrived in Korea. Wow”, while another commented, “The way the Koreans appreciate culture is just amazing. Sanggup duduk berhujan tengok performance”.
The performance took place in the street of Cheonan, showing many South Koreans enjoying the dance in the pouring rain.
Zapin being Malaysia’s pride and joy, with its upbeat tempo and swift movements, gives its audience an electrifying feel.
