A recent TikTok clip has been making waves on the platform after one traffic officer went above and beyond his duties to accommodate a stray dog who needed some help.

In a video posted by TikTok user Clare Johnson to her account @sinclareeee, the user recorded a moment which took place outside Trinity University of Asia in Quezon City, Philippines. Brief yet moving, the clip captured an instance where a road officer, in the middle of doing his duty, stopped a few cars from driving on the road in order to allow a stray dog to cross it.

Walking comfortably across the road, the officer ensures that the pup made it to the other side before continuing his tasks. Turning around to look at him, the dog attempts to make eye contact with the man, almost as though to thank him, before continuing its journey.

Thank you for treating this baby with care,” wrote one user.

Though most would consider his tasks and job to be fairly regular, this traffic officer is a true hero to us. We salute you!
