Vaccination Centers At Johor, Sarawak, Penang and Selangor Ready For Mass Vaccination Starting Tomorrow (7 June)

More vaccination centres in Johor, Penang, Sarawak and Selangor are geared up for vaccinations beginning tomorrow (7 June 2021).

According to ProtectHealth Corporation, the AstraZeneca vaccination centre in Persada Johor Bahru, Johor is ready to give out 1,000 doses of vaccines for the recipients per day starting tomorrow. The capacity will increase to 3,000 doses of AZ vaccine provision per day from the fourth day onwards.

Besides, the SPICE Arena in Penang is also prepared for mass vaccinations starting tomorrow. “All the best & let’s accelerate vaccinations here! Thanks to all CITF staff, HCOs & volunteers. See you again early in the morning,” said health professional Dr Jemilah Mahmood in a Twitter posting.

Preparations have also been done in the Setia City Convention Center which will operate as another vaccination centre starting tomorrow. 2,000 doses of vaccines will be given to recipients each day.

According to the Chief Executive Officer of ProtectHealth Corporation Anas Alam Faizli, there will be two more vaccination sites at Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) and Institut Kemahiran Belia Negara (IKBN) at Miri.

To date, 12,645,370 individuals have registered for vaccination, and the total number of vaccinations for the first and second dose administered as of 5 June, 11.59pm is 3,493,193.
