Are you dissatisfied with Pakatan Harapan’s ruling so far since they took over as government after GE14 last year? Then this Umno man has a message for you.
Tomorrow (9 May) will mark the first year anniversary of the Pakatan Harapan coalition taking over as government after they defeated Barisan Nasional in the general elections last year in 2018. However, just today (8 May), Umno’s Tun Faisal Ismail Aziz has urged all Malaysians who are dissatisfied with Pakatan’s performance so far to wear black tomorrow, to demonstrate their displeasure towards the new government.
Tun Faisal shared this message on his Twitter account. Here’s what he said, as briefly translated by Malay Mail,
“Let us all wear black shirts on May 9 as a sign of protest and criticism on Hari Hitam Malaysia, the day Malaysia started deteriorating under the Pakatan government which has damned the economy, rakyat, Islam religion in this country.”

His tweet was accompanied by a poster showing silhouettes of humans in black as they raise banners and protest signs in the air.
Last year on 9 May, Barisan Nasional who ruled Malaysia for 61 years finally lost power when Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad led the Pakatan Harapan coalition to a spectacular win in GE14. That said, Pakatan Harapan’s performance so far has been met with mixed reactions from both politicians as well as Malaysians.
What do you think of this Umno man’s call for Malaysians to wear black on 9th May?
