Yup, we’re talking about the Kentucky Town event happening in Sunway Pyramid in celebration of KFC’s 50th anniversary!
Can you believe KFC is turning 50?! ?
Taking place from 4 until 10 July 2023, the event will be open to the public and it promises a fun time for all attendees with its many games and activities. Curious to know what will be in store for you? Read on to find out!
1. Have a blast with your besties by joining these friendship-themed activities
The Kentucky Town event is more than just about celebrating KFC’s 50th anniversary. It’s also an event where you can create fun memories with your friends! To ensure a good time for you and your besties, there are tons of fun activities and games available at the event, such as:
a) Walk through the Friendship Tunnel to get a special transformation
This AR tunnel will virtually transform you into KFC avatars and you can also take photos with the AR screen. You can download your photos by scanning a QR code at the end of the tunnel.
b) Hop into the Friendship Tub for an Insta-worthy experience
Need some photos of you at the event to show off to your social media friends? Then the Friendship Tub can be the perfect place to take photos with your friends. There will also be some scrumptious-looking chicken plushies waiting for you in the tub!
c) Get ready to put your friendship to the test on the Friendship Stage
Another highlight of the event is the many on-ground games that you can play with your squad! Most of these games are friendship-themed which is why it’s best for you to attend the event with your friends.
Do you think your friendship can survive a little friendly test? Then you can join in the fun by playing an old-school childhood game, a gameshow-style quiz or take part in a good-ol’ friendship test to see how well you really know each other!
2. Be the first to taste KFC’s finger lickin’ good secret menu items!
No KFC event is complete without some good food!
If you love KFC as much as we do, then you’ll be excited to taste several secret menu items that will be available at the Friendship Kitchen of this event! Some of the highlights include the Double Down, which now comes in a Samyang Buldak flavour, and the super spicy Ghost Pepper Drummette! Give it a try if you think you can handle the heat! ?
Of course, these items will be available exclusively at the Kentucky Town event only. So, make sure to attend the event if you want to taste these secret menu items before they are gone forever! ?

3. Grab some limited edition merchandise from an exclusive KFC x PMC collab!
To celebrate this significant milestone for KFC, the brand is teaming up with two other iconic Malaysian names, Ujang and Pestle & Mortar Clothing (PMC), in an exclusive collaboration! The collection is named “Aku Budak Kepci” consisting of limited-edition streetwear items.
This collection will be available only at the Friendship Store in Kentucky Town. FYI, the merch will not be available after the event, so get them while you can! Plus, what makes this store even more remarkable is that you can virtually try on any of the clothing items with their smart mirror! Just check out the awesome merch below!
